I Need Current Info On Kratom.
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

The posts I found about Kratom are a year old. Is there any current info anyone can share? I know the FDA is about to take it away from us, so I am guessing it does work! Please help, I am getting more desperate by the day! If it works I can going to order a huge amount before the government steps in and takes it away!

After reading a bit about Kratom I started using it recently and find it helps with the pain. I am taking less pain meds now :) I have tried different types and find the red vein is best. Also powder is cheaper than capsules but I have to weigh it out and not good for traveling. I even ordered a plant to see if I can grow it (hasn't arrived yet). Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.

Hopelessinky, I am very sorry that you feel this way! I started using kratom just a few days after I made my original post and it was the best decision I have made in the last 2 years since my doctor retired and kicked me to the curb!!! It has given me just a small slice of my life back! It is far from perfect, but just a small amount of pain relief is more than I ever expected to see again! Kratom has proven to bye a miracle for me!

I hope you understand that this report put out by the FDA is pure BS!! Since no money is being made by Big Pharma, the FDA doesn't want it on the market. I, too, have done my homework!

Here's a newer and reliable response - it's a letter from the Commissioner of the FDA as to why they are pulling Kratom even though it is classified as a nutritional supplement. www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnounceme...
I hope this helps you understand why the Agency/FDA is definitely looking to pull this possible opiod drug - due to the substances used (even though plant based, which many people confuse with as being "safe") in the compounding.
I hope that this helps!
