My dr has prescribed this three times a day 600 mg morning and night 200 mg in the afternoon increasing each dose by 100 mg every three days ... this info says to take medication 1x daily for best results could this be why I’m having no results except horrific headaches

Members shared mixed experiences with gabapentin (Gralise), with several noting significant weight gain ranging from 20 to 30 pounds, along with side effects including headaches, insomnia, brain fog, and eye pain that led some to discontinue use. Many members described taking varying dosages throughout the day (ranging from 200mg to 600mg doses, multiple times daily) with differing levels of pain relief, while one member confirmed that horrific headaches can indeed be a side effect called rebound headaches that warrant discussion with a doctor. A recurring theme was the challenging balance between managing severe nerve pain and tolerating medication side effects, with members encouraging caution as doses increase and suggesting alternative options like nortriptyline when gabapentin becomes intolerable.

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member, that's what I was taking! When I gained the 20# in 3 weeks! Maybe it won't happen to you, but it did happen to me! Good luck! Hugs

I have multiple myeloma, terminal cancer. Painful. Nerve pain. Taking gabapentin maximum dose. Gained 30 pounds!!!! Ugh. I want to go off but my feet burn, tingle and hurt to the point I can't walk. I am slowly going to takin one 400 three times a day. I think that would be a great help on my foggy brain. Also have been hearing negative stuff about it. I am in constant paint. Headaches, bone pain, kidney issues and so on. Not on narcotics right now. Eventually I will have to take it. But laws concerning opoids are restricting that med. Which I feel is wrong. Well I've gabbed enough. God bless everyone.
