BL, I have a friend that uses computer coloring to calm herself and take her mind off her pain for a while.
Ellenicole, make yourself start a new routine. Inertia will make you crazy and kill you. Talk to your pain management doc; they can help you get back on your feet. If not find a new one.
Therapy is the best thing I've done. It helps me deal with the mental part of pain. It will also get you out of bed for a appointment.
Good luck. I hope this is helpful.

Wow, sounds like my day. Recently I downloaded a program called Pigment. It’s adult online coloring and it actually calms me and helps me not to dwell on my limitations and disabilities. Since I’ve added it into my day, I feel a calm and peace that I haven’t felt in a very long time. Bless you and feel better. 🙏🏼🌹

It is very difficult to motivate yourself to do thing when you are in pain.Depression i always on the corner in my case .Not get motivated or no interest in things is also a sign of depression. It helps me a lot to plan something with somebody or make a activity a ritual .For example i go twice a weak to my physio therapist and ones a week to the libary on Wednesday .And a friend of mine always walks a half hour with her neigber.Because you can motivate yourself for another ( your men) you can link activitys to people or places. But with chronic pain it is extra diffecult to get on moving because every activity cost a lot of energy.

Succes with finding a good rithme

I know what you mean @A MyChronicPainTeam Member when the pain level is more manageable it’s fantastic. I tend to feel so happy that as my husband says,”I want to conquer the world.” I pay for it the next few days though. When my pain management consultant discussed managing the pain better by doing less and taking regular breaks. I informed him that sometimes it’s worth overdoing activities for a few days being laid up. It’s not very often that I feel well enough with my pain in check that I just want to feel like a normal person doing normal things. I also notice things that need doing so I end up doing a number of things at the same time. This is definitely easier when my grandsons are with us. As they live over 400 miles away it’s not as often as I would like.
Like you Robin my important things in life that makes me happy are my family especially my grandsons; l love summer time and spring time. Music lifts my spirits. I would add my church also plays a big part in my life. Thank you Robin for reminding me of what is important in our lives. Pain doesn’t define us. We have much more in our lives than suffering pain all the time. 🤔🤗🤨🤣
