If you have a good doctor or pain management doctor they should help ease the pain your in. Of course your going to be in pain just be out spoken and really get their attention when you need help you should never ever feel like a person seeking drugs. It’s your body and you know it best. I pray that you get help you need.
I have had five disc fused over two surgeries in my neck. My whole neck is rods n screws. I have severe headaches an shoulder pain. After having these surgeries I hurt worst than before surgeries. I have tried all types meds. Steroid shots nerve burning nothing has helped yet. Except Percocet. But drs act like they don’t won’t to give it to me. An that I shouldn’t be hurting anymore. They make me feel like a drug addict any one else feels like this. An what can I do about it ?
I've tried all of those "nerve" type meds.....none of them helped me either. Only thing that I found that helped a little was Percocet, but I'm building a tolerance and don't want to increase. Hopefully you all find something that can help....
I gues we all are different what works or not and any meds i take even over counter never work plus had cortisteriod shots and made my knee swollen and worse and color changes got worse and when i was in hospital recently they gave me four pills are Apo Gabapentin, sleeping pills, two tylenol 3 and ibuprphen (sp) and it really helps but when they gave me the cream and was hoping this will work but i warn the dr that any cream goes on my foot and it will burn for long time and well when i took this cream and sue burns like hell and the nurse said it has chilli pepper in it and i told the nurse im never going to use it again but my chronic pain lady tried to force me to use it and i refused! It burns like when you step in the fire and i hate it!
I have been taking it for several years now and I don't know what I would do without that or Lyrica. I'm prescribed it for neuropathy and fibromyalgia. At one point I was prescribed both Lyrica and gabapenten together but I was told later it shouldn't have been prescribed together. I prefer the Lyrica but it caused a lot of swelling.
