The government has definitely screwed up by attacking pain meds and doctors! How the hell can we trust our government to handle this?? They can’t even balance the god damn budget!!!! I’ve written to my representatives and they all answer the same. We’re not interfering with people with chronic pain and their doctors!!! They may not be attacking us directly but we’re still being forced to comply with what the government wants, Doctors are being forced to act a certain way. It’s typical liberal mentality to attack and try to ban inanimate objects instead of holding people accountable for their actions. Congress is retarded. What has happened in the last 15 years??? The dumbass politicians have made it extremely difficult for addicts to get prescription pain meds. While doing this they have made it extremely hard for chronic pain sufferers to get their much needed pain meds!! And what did this do to help ANYONE!!! Absolutely not one god damned thing. Instead of getting prescription pain meds, the addicts have gone back to heroin!!! Now the idiots in congress have only helped to build a new heroin crisis!! And what about us poor chronic pain sufferers!!! We are still here suffering and the addicts are all ok with heroin!! Only WE chronic pain sufferers are being penalized!!! It’s so simple yet the politicians are blind or too stupid to see this! Eventually at this rate, congress will force people with chronic pain into using heroin or committing suicide!!! Then they can compare the suicide rate of pain sufferers to the 115 people who die of overdose every day!!! That’s it!!! All of us in chronic pain (all 20 million) of us are suffering horribly because of the great opiate plague that kills 115 people a day!! Hell!! More people die while taking a dump every day than addicts overdosing. We need to be heard in congress. I’m tired of people ignoring and blaming.

As @A MyChronicPainTeam Member said, get a pain contract with your physician. This protects you and the doctor from possible harm due to opioid use. Not from overdose, but from wrongful prescribing and wrongful use. It's your promise to take the medication as prescribed and the doctor's promise to treat you as a human being. I have had a contract with each of my pain doctor's over the years, will sign one with my new doctor when next I see him,

I doubt it.... The day FDA mentions that is the day physicians don't get paid.
The drs knew what the potential risks in prescribing pain meds...in the first place.
Now that they prescribed it to the wrong people , those people overdosed and now that they'd license is pulled now all the drs want to hold hands and act like we are the problem.if u legitamely have pain. Then you shouldn't gave to worry about receiving pain meds. Take em prescribed and ensure to sign a pain contract. You will be 👍

I'm a chronic pain sufferer. Have been for 20 years. Caused from a job I had that forced me to carry more weight because of my overtime. I'm on SSD when I should be on L & I. The older I get the worse the pain gets. I have had 4 cervical surgeries. The pain radiates from my neck down my arms and legs.
I've been on fentanyl patch & hydrocone for over 20 years. Now the government wants me off the patch.
The pencil pushers in the government have never worked a physical job nor have they gone through what I have. So how can they tell me what is good for me??
I'm 100lbs. I'm so weak and so much pain it's miserable!
