There are definitely worse things so that's not so bad.
I'm not ashamed to say that when my pain gets really bad I smoke.
I was told by a Dr that Gabapentin is better than Lyrica for nerve pain. I'm currently taking 800mg 3 times a day. It helps. I tested that theory by stopping it thinking it wasn't helping. I was wrong. I'm also taking Cymbalta 60mg per day. I've never felt that Cymbalta relieved my pain. It just brought me up mentally, so that I could deal with the pain and not get depressed so much about things. Wellbutrin is a different anti-depressant you might want to ask your Dr about. My TENS unit helps, and I'm sorry (not trying peddle pot) but cannabis is a very effective pain reliever. Hope that helps.
Sorry to hear that. I will definitely do my research if I choose to go that route.
Yes and now I am permanently disabled due to a medical mistake during the surgery. I would say know all about your surgeon and ask lots of questions when they tell you what could possibly go wrong. Especially about Nerve Damage.
