I’m really getting in hot water at work for poor performance ever since my fibro diagnosis. I was on meds that seemed to make everything worse; and now here i am with a warning for poor performance which is fair. Im clearly in need of short term maybe long term disability. Any guidance on how this works?

If you work for a big enough company hopefully your human resources people can guide you in getting the right forms for FMLA and disability. your Dr will need to fill out their portions of the forms. you'll need to fill out a release of information form for the Dr to do so. forms go back to your HR/management.

Work mu,st be very difficult, but sometimes it keeps you sane. Maybe part time work could be right for you?

I'm working on that myself trying to go to 50% disability and still hang on to very good medical benefits.
