Hit A Wall
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

Seems like a broad thing.. hitting a wall in terms of I don't know what to do or think anymore. Everything keeps getting harder, even pulling myself back up and staying motivated. Its hard to look forward to anything because I am scared of what pain I might have at that time? My thoughts and brain feel mushy from all the pain.. thoughts.. self talks.. bad sleep. How to keep going is a question that seems to be arising every morning these days

Hi try to live one day at a time, even 1 hour at a time. Whenever you can try to do something that you like, it will help you get through your bad times. I had Chronic Pain in lower back and legs for 27 years now and I am always trying new things that could help me. One thing that doesn’t work for me is getting angry, or desperate, etc it only makes it worse. Friends are very important, the only things is that friends and family don’t want to hear about your pain and it is ok, that way you have to talk about something else and you get distracted. Of course I have my ups and downs but I realized that it is worse when I fight it. Tension and anger make my pain worse. I am trying to meditate and relax.
Hope this helps you in some way, blessings.

Hi Jaco, Your right, I have been on an anti-inflammatory diet for several weeks and my restless leg syndrome is pretty much gone. My back pain is getting better too.

Thank you to every reply! Really appreciate it <3

With good news and maybe hope for other!…. I found something that has helped me immensely!! Massive diet change! Pain and inflammation has gone down so much, better than I have been is past year, maybe more! In my 4th week now of NO SUGAR (pure evil), no gluten (which I was always very sceptical about, but I think it’s played a key role), and also for good measure cut out all dairy. Veggies, greens, nuts, smoothies, red meat and chicken is mostly on menu now. Honestly not only has helped the chronic pain but also helps with mental well being and sleep (more than most of the better part of melatonin get produced in your gut, never knew that). It’s not just a energy churning organ in your body, your stomach is your 2nd brain.. Ive come across that numerous times now. Sharing this because I really feel as difference and would only hope it could provide the same to others, please look at what you eat more carefully and stay away from processed foods and sugar, they were never a good thing to start with. 🖤
