How Do I Get Peripheral Neuropathy Under Control Without The Usual Prescription Medications?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and ankles that attacks me every night and prevents me from sleeping. The normal medications for nerve pain only make it worse. Insomnia & pain have destroyed my quality of life - need other treatment remedies

I'm not diabetic although do have pre Diabetes - have tried gabapentin and Lyrica but the side effects outweigh any benefits. I take alpha lipoic acid instead plus pain lotions, sprays, which help sometimes. I've gotten to the point where I'm afraid to go to bed because that's when it starts up. Thanks for your input.

If you have diabetes then better blood sugar levels, that pregablin or other nerve meds make me completely brain dead. I found swimming helped some , less gravity or just pressure on my legs. Sleeping with my feet and legs slightly elevated helps me sleep a bit better.
Good luck with everything.
