What is your reason to keep living? I've come to find purpose is very important. My grandson Emmett, my daughter and my pets are my reason to live.

What gives me the motivation to keep going? You. Every single damn one of you! This world is mean, life isn’t fair, and regardless of dogma, we all share this beautiful rock together, whether by chance or by divine providence we have a responsibility to one another… I believe it is incumbent upon us all to find fulfillment in the connections we establish. I’ve heard many say the only thing you can take with you is the memories of the people you loved along the way, sadly that’s only a portion of the truth (in my view.) I implore all to posit that there is yet another dimension to this truth… and that it is a more complete fulfillment involves giving more than you get. Life ain’t fair and the world is mean. (Thank you Sturgil Simpson! We are wired, biologically, to achieve fulfillment when we are able to be, see, and exist in a phase of contentment and peace…. I’ve found that is only accessible when we selflessly help others.

Fascinating what chemicals our brains produce when we perform an action that connects us deeper to one another.

If you need something external to love, get a dog. The thing - person you most have to love is yourself. You know, the part of your brain you think with. Even your child that you love so much, if you do right by them, will eventually move out. The constant is self, the one that discovered they have a thumb, now will help you deal with any adult situation. Attack every day with that awe of discovery.

@A MyChronicPainTeam Member - Tears don’t fall, they crash around me.

It’s nice to finally connect! I was just thinking the other day about how many of my deeper relationships share a commonality… we all live on the same funny farm. It’s not so bad here, all of my black sheep friends understand me and I them. Welcome to the farm.

Hugs from across the pasture!

I thought maybe peeps could post a pic or just type what makes them want to keep living If u don't mind my asking, Lorraine, what keeps you going? You don't have to answer if u feel uncomfortable of course. Sending you love n gentle ((hugs)) 💛
