Why Do I Only Get The Energy When I Have A Deadline, Especially In School?

When I was getting my master's degree, I had a paper that was turned in at 11:57 PM, so every other paper was done in several rough drafts, taken to the Writing Center, and even taken to the professors when I needed a dollar to go buy a clue. However, now that I'm even older, and should know better, gosh, I can't get the energy unless a due date is rushing up at me. Right now, I even have late library books for the dang assignment. Pain and depression do go together. After having back surgery and then having another one in 2018 because I was falling a lot I start being depressed most of the time. the pain doctor told me being in so much pain and not being able to do every thing you use to do would make any one have depression.
