I've been on Lyrica too, and while it did provide some relief, it wasn't as effective for the pain as I'd hoped. It did, however, help with my anxiety, which in turn made the pain more tolerable. I also gained quite a bit of weight on it, which was a downside. I've been taking Flexeril as well, and while it's not a game-changer on its own, the combination of the two has been somewhat helpful. But the real difference-maker for me has been Low Dose Naltrexone. That's what's been working best for my pain management.

Thank you! The pregabalin is working surprisingly well after only a week on a low dose (25 mg b.i.d.). Cymbalta didn't do much for me, nor did gabapentin/Neurontin. I was diagnosed with fibro half my lifetime ago (I’ll be 70 in January), when much of the medical community was still scoffing at the “yuppie flu.” Fortunately, my doc back then was a Ph.D. as well as an MD and had a background in research in such things. It feels as though I’ve tried everything from the evil fruit of the poppy to sketchy things that are no longer marketed. If the pregabalin holds up (the minimal side effects have come and gone), it will be a (late-in) life changer. Fibro is now listed as an approved use for pregabalin—finally!

pregabalin for me personally didnt seem to do much, it did in the beginning but it progressed past a point that they switched. though i hear from alot of people pregabalin is very helpful! seeing as they ruled out fibro for me, maybe its a difference in that. since fibro patients seem to benefit far more then i did with pregabalin!
