I have been on an pain pump since 99 .And yes it's better than pill. It doesn't go through the stomach and it goes right to the spine so you can use less medication. If you need more the pump can be adjusted. Or the drug changed. And you can always have it removed. You also have the option of a Bullis 4 times a day if the pain gets worse.
