A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

My husband is thinking about getting an intrathecal implant for chronic pain in his lower back and peripheral neuropathy. Looking into medical information but i would put more value on personal experiences from people with similar issues.
Please respond with good and bad experiences.
Thank you in advance.

Dental Issues And CRPS
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been living with CRPS for years. I am terrified as I know I have got to have something done as my teeth have been neglected and I'm having some major problems. My doc said she will work with a dentist to explain RSD-CRPS and how it may impact my condition. Now I have to find someone who will do the work and it may mean multiple extraction. No Money and most dental is NOT covered. Anyone have experience with this or know of denists in MAINE that have experience with this? Thanks. I'm… read more

Intrathecal Implants
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

How much pain medicine do you have to be on before they consider you for the pain pump? The reason I ask is because I have had 2 back injection the spine specialist isn't doing the third because I had a reaction to the 2nd one so he is referring me for the pain pump. I am in physical therapy and take oxycodone 4 times a day and fentonal patch every 72 hours and still in quite a bit of pain to the point of I can barely move.

The pump is extreme and there have been serious problems with PP patients. I lowered my dose and the pain is better. Good luck...

Has Anyone Tried Neuromodulation Treatment For Chronic Pain?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've just been reading about neuromodulation also known as Spinal cord Stimulation as a treatment for chronic pain and wondered if anyone has had opportunity to try this? Its not a widely available treatment. I live in the U.K. where there are 1 or 2 specialist places you can go for the treatment. The Walton Centre is one of them. They implant an electrode or drug delivery system near the spinal cord.
