I recently started seeing a psychiatrist to try to break the cycle of chronic pain = depression = more pain = worse depression and she suggested genetic testing to see which meds might work best with my brain chemistry. My husband is a Chronic Pain sufferer, 7 years on and no better off. His pain is lower spine (L5/S1 according to the Doctors), as well as upper thigh, down the leg and in his foot (right), his little toe & the next one are numb (he describes them as feeling like a lump of meat hanging from his foot) with constant (24/7) pain and spasms. I suffer from IBS, I've recently had costochondritis, chronic pain/fatique/inflammation but no diagnosis, right side jaw pain with face pain and eye tenderness...lower back pain, suffer from cervical radiculopathy (diagnosed during this last winter), early signs of osteoarthritis, the list goes on....

Do you ever feel you are losing control

Do you ever feel you are losing control

Does anyone else feel that they are getting worse pain increasing feeling a bit anxious & paranoid.
The control you usually have to manage what is wrong is just slipping away. Doctor does not seem to understand "Well it's a degenerative condition" & you worry that the day will come when you are out of options
