What Is Your Experience With Using Lidocaine Patches Or Ointments To Numb Pain?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

i've seen patches sold online, but also noticed ointments made of lidocaine used to numb for tattoos or piercings. has anyone used the ointment to numb nerve pain? how long would a 1 oz tube last? what is your experience? Is it worth the cost? I notice many products out there but are outrageously expensive one has the word freeze in it. on a very limited budget and resources, i cannot spend extra monies on gimmicks or products that cost 10 cents to manufacture and 30 dollars to sell. looking… read more

Anyone Have Any Success With Anodyne Therapy For Diabetic Neuropathy?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have diabetic neuropathy in my hands and feet, maybe compounded by P.A.D. (for which I'm taking Plavix) and it's been getting worse. I take Hydrocodone/APAP 7.5/325 Q4 prn. I used to take maybe 1/day avg. Now I'm up to 3-5 daily. They've refused me stronger opiates due to severe heart and lung disease. Fine, but the pain is driving me insane. I'm functioning less and less and spending more and more time in bed watching movies due to the pain.

I'm going to be starting another round of home… read more

I'm just the opposite I take 300mg twice a day. And I get lethargic with out them.
Lyrica has the same properties but 4x as expensive. But I think meds affect individuals differently. 🤔

Comments From People That Have Weaned Off Of Narcotics By Your Choice.
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

Lately it seems as though there are several people weaning off medications by their own personal choice. I'm not referring to those of you that are being forced to get off of meds. I'd be interested in hearing your results; comments. If you have been force to get off of narcotics and had good results, please share. Jean

Neurontin: D Like T
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

Is it wise to taper off of gabapentin slowly? My prescription is far above the studied dosage, and have experienced some confused thought process...i.e.) losing words, short term memory loss. I've been on it for several years, but my condition has worsened and is better controlled with another med.

Magnesium For Leg Pain
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

For the past 12 years I have suffered from neuropathy in my legs and have been taking Lyrica for pain.
Recently the pain has worsened so my doctor prescribed Magnesium.
Has anyone else taken Magnesium for pain and has it worked?

I use magnesium for pain. I use a chewable, and it is very effective for muscle cramps. Be careful, too much causes loose stools.... best of luck.
