I had several ED visits with urinary retention and was eventually referred to a specialist who told me cymbalta and lyrica interact and cause the retention. Drs use this combo for incontinence. If i stayed on it I would have to use a catheter every time i needed to go to the toilet...
I tried this about ten years ago and I couldn't take it for very long, I kept feeling like there was someone behind me following me around and I was looking over my shoulders looking to see if someone was back there all the time. About drove me nuttier than I already am......lol.
Celexa is the name brand citalopram just so you know. I take both and work real well for me
I have been suffering a quite low level depression (called dysthymia) for many years even though I have been on 2 X 60 mg Cymbalta for about 4 years. Recently my doctor increased the dose by 30mg and it has certainly made a difference to my mood. I feel brighter and better able to feel some enthusiasm compared to previously. I have put on weight though not sure if that is because of the Cymbalta or not.
I've been on it for five years. Not sure if it's helping the pain, but it does help the depression. I don't cry as quicker or as often as I used to when I wasn't on it.
