I had one years ago. The electrical stimulus that is chosen for you is suppose to to be a kind of blocker. At least my was. What it really was, was an irritant for me! It takes alot of patience while it is being calibrated for you. Did I mention patience IS NOT a strong point with! Lol
I have a TENS machine. I tend to use it only when I know I'm going to be sitting for a long time or if I'm out for a long time but it does give some relief, if only for half an hour at a time and makes a huge difference on recovery time i.e. without it I can be up to three days in bed racked with pain after a day out at a museum or somesuch, with it, that's reduced to one.
Good luck!! Please keep me posted. It would be good to have someone who is going through the exact same thing. If you have any questions for me, I'd be happy to answer any honestly.
