My Doctor Started Me On Duloxetine. If Anyone Else Has Experience With This... How Long Is It Supposed To Take Before It Helps?
A MyChronicPainTeam Member asked a question 💭

They have no idea if I have fibromyalgia or not. But they're just trying this to see. I'm just wondering, when am I supposed to feel better if this med is supposed to help? What's been anyone elses experience? It's basically cymbalta. I only see results for energy, appetite, mood, etc but not pain on a Google search. They did not want me to come back in X amount of time for a follow-up or anything and I'm super self-conscious I'm annoying them because I send them a ton of messages already… read more

I was on cymbalta at one time and did not notice much improvement. I've been on Gabapentin for about a month or so and have noticed many more groggy mornings after 8 hrs of sleep. Not a great side effect.

I've noticed more of a brain fog lately, might be the Gabapentine affecting me

Just curious what level of dosage are your doctor's recommending for your pain . Are the dosages different between America and Canadian suggested levels .I couldn't cope on high levels wonder if less would have helped. Basically they block the flow of our neurotransmitters. I just don't know what's better. Take care my fellow chronic pain sufferers.

I take 300mg Lyrica every 12 hours. If I don’t stay busy doing something, I may as well forget it and go to bed. My brain is mush. Still doesn’t take care of the pain.
