I’m so sorry to hear that. I know here if we call Medicaid they will help get us referred to places like pain doctors. You might try the State College or University Med Center too. Best of luck to you

Call Medicaid to refer you to a doctor. Hopefully a State College or University Med Center. MediCaid even provides transportation. (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators). Good luck

Medacaid doesn't pay for no pain management Dr at least not in Louisiana. Most down here are cash payments only and are close to $500 a month. I found one that only writes pain meds no xanix or soma and they $150 a month. Well it was almost 2 years ago when I looked into this one place.

In Canada specifically Ontario has a
Medicare for everyone. We call it here OHIP. Ontario hospital insurance program. The problem is not many trained experts in the field of spinal surgery stay here. They flee to other countries where they can make a 100 fold of the income here. Doctors are capped to how much they can file with ohip basically capping their salaries. All tho the government says you can make as much as you want no one here can charge for any surgeries that are classified within ohip coverage. So I’m my area we have 2 really good spinal surgeons. Well renowned for their expertise and success. Neither of them are taking appointments. Because they can’t offer surgery outside of what ohip covers they have maxed out the possible amount of patients they can have in a given year. So I call frequently month to month looking for possible cancelations so I can see a doctor. I feel the frustration your experiencing because I could go to the USA and get the surgery I need and pay but I’m on a disability income becuase I can’t work and therefore can not afford the surgery unless I win a lottery.

Can you also get Medicare to go with your Medicaid? If so I would go with both and get a Medicare supplement. I can't get Medicaid here in Georgia because I own property. It would help me a lot if I could get both.
