I was diagnosed with Bertolotti Syndrome in April 2022 after a sciatica attack that prompted an MRI. I was told that it's congenital and about 4% of the population is diagnosed with it. Just wondering if anyone else is in that 4% with me.
Both sides move for me, but the spinal curve puts extra pressure on that left side and makes it super painful. Steroid shots help, but I have a wicked case of sacroilitis to go with it. A good chiropractor could straighten it all out and make my spine look healthy(ish), but mine retired and I haven't found a good replacement.
Ahhh I see you have the additional L6. For me, I have castelvie type 4. I also have pseudo articulation on both sides with partial movement on the right side.
Yep. Both sides have pseudo articulation, but the scoliosis makes the left one painful. I get steriod shots, and that helps. I also do a lot of stretching.
