Having dealt with back & neck pain plus Depression for 2 years Im trying to motivate myself to set SMALL goals
For example
my biggest motivation right now is losing weight so I've decided to set small goals by treating my daily workouts like they are a "JOB" .
My first small goal is to get out of bed every single morning brush my teeth , take a bath ,get dressed , comb my hair. Then do some type of exercise by 9 am.
This may not seem like a big goal but I became so sick that I could… read more

I don’t know if it’s just me but when I was told we are trying to deal with your pain and give you some quality of life back 🤔really are we to feel so much better to live with health issues I mean it just can’t be me that knows by your Drs saying that to you that you actually feel so much better and still dealing with pain, quality of life back sounds like it should be said to the patients that even though they are suffering they’ll… read more

I know living with someone who is in constant pain can be hard. Sometimes we take it out on the person we love, because we can’t fix ourselves and it is so exhausting. We are staring down a monster who can actually change in the matter of a minute. It’s unfair of us to do this, especially to the ones who love us and are there for us. There are no excuses. There aren’t any words that can describe the extent of how it hurts. The mind games it plays. I am a chronic pain survivor myself. I am also… read more

I’m curious to know for all my family out there, what music do you listen to when coping or trying to connect with your higher power? If you don’t have a higher power, what do you use to connect with yourself at the deepest levels?
That's a good question, I try to listen to music and does not connect me with any spiritual guide that I need. I go to church and I don't find the spiritual guy there either I Believe in the Higher… read more

How do you get your motivation back after a long fight with pain. The feeling of giving up when nothing seems to go right? When those you talk to say they don't wanna hear it anymore? When you have so much that needs done but your body won't cooperate and you feel overwhelmed.

Sadly, most pain clinics are not going to give you pain meds. They don't make any money that way. I've been to them, never again. So sorry, I know this isn't what you wanted to hear. 😞
This is a question I must answer, as I feel it helps docs understand their patient. If you want (no names will be included) if you want to use one or so words to describe "yourself". It might be - Lonely, Abandoned, Content when I can, etc... So instead of saying Blue eyes, blonde hair, etc... you are describing the YOU with Chronic Pain. Some maybe be physical (do you always look good), but much will be on an emotional level. This is what is hard for others to understand. Pain is… read more
