Massage and Chronic Pain

Posted on March 22, 2018

"I wake up every day in pain but my new chiropractor is helping me. My neck and back are better, head pain the same. The great thing is I get a massage prior to manipulation. So far today is better than some, but I put so so because of waking up in pain." - A member on MyChronicPainTeam

On MyChronicPainTeam, the social network and online support group for those living with chronic pain, members talk about a range of personal experiences and struggles. Massage is one of the top 10 topics most discussed.

Here are a few question-and-answer threads about massage:

"Has anyone had a hot stone massage? Did it help your pain?"

"Does anyone else burp when getting massaged on a painful area?"

"Does massage help for degenerative disk disease?"

Here are some conversations about massage:

"I have so much pain I can't sleep. Does anybody know of anything that works?"

"Looking forward to a massage next week. I have the best massage therapist!"

"A member shares how she deals with her tendonitis."

Can you relate?
