I have diabetic neuropathy in my hands and feet, maybe compounded by P.A.D. (for which I'm taking Plavix) and it's been getting worse. I take Hydrocodone/APAP 7.5/325 Q4 prn. I used to take maybe 1/day avg. Now I'm up to 3-5 daily. They've refused me stronger opiates due to severe heart and lung disease. Fine, but the pain is driving me insane. I'm functioning less and less and spending more and more time in bed watching movies due to the pain.

I'm going to be starting another round of home… read more

Members shared medication strategies that have helped manage diabetic neuropathy pain, with gabapentin (Neurontin) being the most frequently mentioned at various dosages, and several members noting significant relief from nerve pain medications, vitamin B12 supplements, and medical cannabis. Many community members described the sensation of burning feet and hands that feel like blocks of wood, with some finding partial relief through consistent movement, specialized therapies like Muscle Activation Technique, or adjusting medication timing to address nighttime symptoms. A recurring theme was the emotional and physical toll of living with chronic nerve pain while trying to remain functional, with members encouraging persistence in finding what works and reminding each other that while complete pain relief may not be possible, quality of life improvements are worth pursuing.

So sorry for your problems. I, too, have neuropathy in feet which feels like blocks of wood which I think I've gotten so used to it that I largely ignore it. I take Neurontin 3x/day. For The Neuropathy in my hands I take care of it with Vitamin B12 sub-lingual. My Fentanyl doesn't do a darn thing. At a dosage of 25 ugh which was cut down from 50 ugh is so not doing anything. I don't know why I bother. I guess I should quit it. Maybe I should try not using it for a while to see what happens. Hope every one is doing great and wish you all a better day tomorrow. ❤️🙏🏼

The best thing for that, I found, are the nerve pain medicine. My hands would feel like they were on fire!!! Ur neurologist should have already put u on the nerve pain meds. If I'm out of nerve pain medicine, it is literally like living in hell. Only way I could really put it accurately!
