I have a friend who thinks that I am putting it on, when I say that I am in pain, as she just says, well you look good, are you sure you have pain, this really hurts me inside. Do any of you have friends or family who think that the pain is in your head?

My doctor quoted some CDC report that was intended as a guideline for general practitioners that said no chronic pain patient should be prescribed more then 90mmg of morphine equalivent for chronic pain patients irregardless of pain levels or time on opioids. The DEA jumped all over this reccomdation and is using it to force pain doctors to drasticly cut medications, leaving millions of us in dire pain without help or hope.

I took my first dose of neurontin last night for nerve pain. I became more dizzy than I have ever been in my life. Falling over and had to hang on to the bed. I was terrified. I have been dizzy often never anything in my life like this and it is still lasting almost 20 hours later, though not as bad. It was the lowest dose made. 100 mg. Hi, I have been on Lyrica for about 6 months and have put on about 12 kgs. The problem is it is mostly around my middle section and added to the chronic pain it is getting me down. Has anyone else experienced weight gain while on Lyrica and how do you combat it. Really need to be able to lose some of this weight as the extra kgs are making my back pain worse.

Hello, I have had 5 previous back surgeries with fusions. I recently got a knee replacement 12/18/17. I am now having terrible back muscle spasms and sciatic nerve pain. I know it takes some getting used to but this is bad, Its hindering my recovery. I had to lie all day Monday because of this. Now coming up the steps it screamed at me. Its makes me yell out so much zinging pain.

I know that they are bad people out there, but we are not one of them, and yet we get treated like we are bad, because we are in pain and what helps us is being decided by people who do not feel what we do

I am collecting information in an attempt to contact those that are making our laws about opioid addiction. I have already contacted some law makers. When the new proposals are announce, I want to be very ready to get active in trying to be sure that those of us in chronic pain are not ignored in the process. i've seen patches sold online, but also noticed ointments made of lidocaine used to numb for tattoos or piercings. has anyone used the ointment to numb nerve pain? how long would a 1 oz tube last? what is your experience? Is it worth the cost? Diagnosed with severe Lumbar spinal stenosis. Orthopedic doc recommended laminectomy and fusion. Decided to go to a neurosurgeon for second opinion. He also recommended laminectomy on three vertebrae and fusion on three vertebrae. I won't kid you, I'm scared. Is the surgery going to work, relieve me of pain? How long is the recovery?
